Update - As we resolve the issue involving some players having difficulty queuing into The Combine, we have temporarily disabled the mode on iOS and Android. We will keep you updated on our plan to resolve the issue and re-enable the mode on those platforms. Until we resolve the issue, players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC can mitigate it by having Save the World installed. How can I run.bin file game? So I downloaded Protoype 2 for my little brother using utorrent. It was.rar and I extracted the files. It gave me 5.bin file setups (setup-1.bin, setup-2.bin, etc.). How do I open it and setup the game? Please, help. Hey all I just downloaded this but unfortunatley I can't install it because I hae VLC PLayer and for whatever reason it keeps wanting to try and open the Bin files. I've tried a few different things except for uninstalling VLC.
Is there any way I can get the game installed without uninstalling VLC?
I also tried mounting the bin's with Daemon Tools and that didn't work either.
I sent a message to support, but thought I'd go ahead and post here just in case one of you might be able to resolve my problem quicker than support.

You don't need to do anything with the .BIN files - run the setup.exe file.
If you've used the GOG downloader you may need to rename this file.

Kezardin: You don't need to do anything with the .BIN files - run the setup.exe file.
If you've used the GOG downloader you may need to rename this file. Ah ok thanks. I'll give it a try
Tried renaming the .bin to .exe and keep getting a message saying it's not compatible. I'm running Windows 7 x64 btw.
Is there any remedy for this?

Ok I figured out the problem. I renamed the wrong file for one. I ended up manually downloading the setup.exe and got it running now.
GoG really needs to fix things so we don't have to rename files.

NormireX: GoG really needs to fix things so we don't have to rename files.
You don't actually need to rename anything, I don't think. The download files should be one setup.exe file, and then several .bin files. The reason it's split up into several files is that certain browsers limit the size of a file that can be downloaded, so they needed to split the larger installers in to 2GB chunks so people could actually download them. When I downloaded Two Worlds, I just ran the setup.exe and everything worked fine, no need to rename anything.
I downloaded with my browser though.. does the GOG downloader actually require you to rename the file when it's finished downloading? I used the downloader on some smaller, 1-file installers earlier and I don't remember having to do that, but I've never used it on a multi-file installer.

There have been several post about this. As shown in the attachment in this thread, you either have to rename the .EXE.file (which is named *.gogDownload), or download it seperately via browser, as NormireX did.

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/neverwinter_nights_diamond/i_dont_have_a_exe_file However, it should be noted that is not the way it is supposed to work and for many of us (I might even say most of us), that is not the way it does work. The downloader starts the download as a 'gogDownload' file then is supposed to re-name it to an .exe on its own when the download is complete. Leaving it as a 'gogDownload' is the exception, not the rule. Supposedly, GOG already fixed the downloader so that shouldn't happen anymore, but obviously that is not the case.

I have encountered the same problem with the downloader as the op.
Renaming the file did not work, however. So I had to download the exe file seperately. This worked fortunatly..
(I have rather strict download limitations in my dorm, so wasting more than 3 gb would have been painful x_X)
